Kao Collins produces various ink formulations for thermal inkjet (TIJ) printing systems. For your confidence and reliability, we package our water-based and solvent-based inks in factory-new cartridges from HP and Funai.

HP Inks
HP’s thermal inkjet technology provides high-resolution QR codes. They require little maintenance, are easy to use, and have snap-in and snap-out configurations. They print superb text and image quality at high speeds across many substrates.
- HP 45si – Our solvent inks help you achieve higher throughput and quality on many non-porous substrates. Consider the new patented SIGMA solvent ink available in six colors. This ink offers industry-leading 12-hour decap and 24-month shelf life.
- HP 45a – Our water-based inks offer the convenience and versatility you need for printing small QR codes on porous substrates.
Funai Inks
Kao offers water-based and solvent inks for Funai systems and OEM equipment. Funai’s innovative cartridges using our NEXXO solvent ink meet challenging printing demands.
- Zion cartridges have an exceptional throw distance. They feature 320 nozzles and a ½” print swath, making them ideal for high-resolution printing.
- Bryce cartridges have a 24kHz printing speed with 640 nozzles and a ½” print swath, making them ideal for printing QR codes on porous and semi-porous substrates.
- Yellowstone cartridges are perfect for printing QR codes on food packaging and porous and semi-porous substrates.
